Organisation and members of boards
The administrative structure of Villum Research Station, Station Nord consists of a Daily Management Board, a Science Coordination Board and Steering Board, see Figure.
Daily Management Board
The aim of the Daily Management Board for Villum Research Station (VRS), Station Nord is to:
- stand for the day to day decisions and do the practical work as laid down in the project description and decided in Science Coordination Board and Steering Board.
- develop risk and contingency plans when needed.
- run an interactive website that will be updated regularly.
- implement a publication strategy to disseminate scientific accomplishments to the wider public.

Science Coordination Board
The aim of the Science Coordination Board for Villum Research Station, Station Nord is to:
- ensure that the infrastructure is constructed and organized in the best possible way within the frame laid out in the project description before and during the construction period
- ensure that interdisciplinary climate related research at highest international level has highest priority
- make the strategic planning of research activities at VRS in accordance with the above taking the advices from International Advisory Board into consideration to facilitate the activities of the DMB.

Steering Board
The aim of Steering Board for Villum Research Station, Station Nord is to:
- ensure that the infrastructure is constructed and organized in the best possible way within the frame laid out in the project description before and during the construction period
- ensure close collaboration between Villum Research Station, the Government of Greenland and the Defense Command in order to optimize the work at VRS
- make the strategic planning of the use of the VRS in accordance with the above, taking the advices from the Scientific Board into consideration
- oversee the activities of the Daily Management and Science Coordination Board and in this way to ensure that the conditions for carrying out research at a high international level are available.
